Core values

At Afritech Business Summit, our work is grounded in principles that guide every interaction, partnership, and initiative. These core values are the foundation of our commitment to creating a sustainable, inclusive, and globally competitive innovation ecosystem in Sub-Saharan Africa. They reflect not only what we do but how we do it, ensuring that every edition of the summit delivers meaningful impact for startups, investors, governments, and communities.

1. Local innovation

We value ideas and solutions developed by African talent to address African challenges. The summit highlights technology approaches tailored to local realities, across foundational technologies, economic impact sectors, and societal and public impact sectors alike.

2. Strategic collaboration

We believe in the power of synergy among startups, investors, governments, and large companies to build a strong and sustainable digital ecosystem. Six audiences are brought together deliberately at every edition: investors and venture capital firms, startups and entrepreneurs, governments and embassies, media and journalists, incubators and universities, and corporations and business leaders.

3. Inclusion and accessibility

Afritech Business Summit is committed to representing the full diversity of Sub-Saharan Africa by amplifying the voices of women, youth, and entrepreneurs from underrepresented regions. Programming is delivered in French and English, and the summit welcomes local and international startups, government representatives, institutions that support entrepreneurship, national and international media, and local, regional, and international investors.

4. Excellence and ambition

We strive for excellence in speaker selection, the quality of discussions, and the long-term impact of the partnerships that emerge from the summit. This is supported by a governance structure built for rigor: an organizing committee responsible for strategy, partnerships, and overall coordination, an operational team responsible for logistics, programming, and participant management, and institutional and technical partners contributing to the quality of content and the regional reach of the event. The organizing team is bilingual and brings recognized professional experience from the United States, Europe, and several African countries.

5. Sustainable transformation

We promote responsible innovation that delivers strong social, economic, and environmental impact to help build a prosperous digital future. Every edition is followed by structured monitoring and evaluation, so that commitments made in Abidjan translate into partnerships, investment, and policy progress long after the four days conclude.

By staying true to these values, Afritech Business Summit ensures that its impact extends beyond the event itself. Each edition is not just a gathering but a launchpad for lasting change, fueling innovation, driving investment, and inspiring the next generation of African leaders to build solutions that resonate locally and scale globally. Our commitment is to help shape a future where Sub-Saharan Africa is recognized worldwide as a hub of creativity, technology, and opportunity.
