Accommodation: where to stay
We strongly recommend booking your hotel early to secure the best rates and availability. The following options are located within a short drive of the Parc des Expositions d’Abidjan, the official summit venue, and in the main business districts of Plateau and Cocody.

Getting to Dakar and airport transfers
All international flights arrive at Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport in Port-Bouët, located just a few kilometers from the Parc des Expositions and approximately 15 kilometers from downtown Plateau. Depending on traffic, the drive into the city takes between 25 minutes and 1 hour.
Transportation options from the airport:
Many hotels offer airport pickup via shuttle service, and we recommend arranging this in advance to ensure a smooth arrival. Taxis are readily available just outside the arrivals terminal, but it is important to agree on the fare before departing or to confirm that the meter (compteur) is used. Ride-hailing apps such as Yango and Bolt also operate reliably in Abidjan. For the best experience, we recommend arriving at least one day before the summit begins.
Practical information
The local currency in Côte d’Ivoire is the West African CFA franc (XOF). Credit cards are accepted at most hotels, restaurants, and shops in Plateau and Cocody, though it is always advisable to carry some cash for smaller venues and taxis. ATMs are widely available throughout the city for convenient access to local currency. French is the official language, while Dioula and other local languages are commonly spoken in everyday interactions. To stay connected, visitors can purchase local SIM cards from providers such as Orange, MTN, or Moov Africa, either at the airport or in the city. Côte d’Ivoire is in the GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) time zone, which is the same as Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+0). For the Afritech Business Summit, business professional attire is recommended, and given Abidjan’s warm tropical climate, light and breathable clothing is ideal.
Summit venue
The Parc des Expositions d’Abidjan is the official venue for the Afritech Business Summit. Located in Port-Bouët near Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport, the venue offers ample exhibition space, conference halls, and on-site logistics infrastructure. Signage and staff will be available throughout the venue to assist you.
